iPhone 5 release date around Oct while iPad 3 early 2012
How soon we will see the iPhone 5? And how long we need to wait for iPad 3?
IPhone 5 release date around Oct?
August is pasting from the calender, but expectation remains that iPhone 5 will come as early as possible. And the news by SlashGear reports a VP at AT&T told its staff to "expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly." Sources also said pre-orders for the iPhone 5 would likely start at the end of September. This may be the most useful and reasonable news for iPhone 5. And we all see such preparations by AT&T (and now Verizon) have become standard practice before an iPhone launch.
Speculation for the iPhone 5 suggests the new Apple Smartphone will have a dual GSM/CDMA chip that works on both Verizon and AT&T networks. Verizon's iPhone 4, unlike the AT&T version, using a CDMA chip that restricts multi-tasking and does not work with 4G networks like Verizon's new LTE coverage.
iPad 3 early 2012?
But iPad 3, from The Wall Street Journal that the company has ordered parts from its assembler in Asia to begin iPad 3 trial production in October.
"Apple's suppliers have already shipped small quantities of components for the sampling of the iPad 3. Suppliers said Apple has placed orders for a 9.7-inch screen device.
One component supplier to Apple said the company has already placed orders for parts for about 1.5 million iPad 3s in the fourth quarter."
The WSJ's source indicates that suppliers will increase production, trying to improve the yield rate for the new iPad in the fourth quarter, before it launches in early 2012.
So until early 2012, Apple will face competitors from Motorola, Samsung and Toshiba -- who all use Google's Android software -- by launching its next tablet computer as soon as possible, and recently Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone is doing a extremely good job to challenge iPhone 5, maybe there will be another "iPad 3 Killer appear when iPad 3's release early 2012"

Can FCPX import AVCHD files directly
Question:
"Can FCPX import AVCHD files directly, or do they still need to be converted first? I have MTS files from a Panasonic GH2 digital camera that are in AVCHD that are grayed out when I try to import them."
------------------from discussions.apple.com
The truth comes that: Final Cut Pro X will not import a stand-alone AVCHD video file. But it can import AVCHD with an access to the original AVCHD camcorder, or a valid Camera Archive disk structure.
In another word, we can't import .mts files directly from the Finder. If you navigate to them from the Import dialog, it will have them grayed out. FCPX doesn't work with them directly, you must import MTS files directly from the camera, from a memory card (with the original file structure in place), or from a camera archive.
And most of us may think archive is a stupid way, so another solution is just convert AVCHD .M2TS to FCPX compatible formats directly. The conversion is quick and easy and will 100% make sure to import AVCHD to FCPX with no problem. And no matter the AVCHD files are single .MTS files or directly from your camera, you can transfer it to FCPX compatible formats and directly import it to FCPX as well asimport AVCHD to iMovie

Simple guide on import AVCHD .MTS to Final Cut Pro X:
1.Hit "Add File" to load AVCHD .MTS (single .MTS files or directly from your camera,) to AVCHD to FCPX Converter.
2. Set the FCPX output format, here I take MOV as example.
3. Start conversion from AVCHD to FCPX by press "Start" button.
4: Choose the "Import" and "Files" options from under the File command at the top of the Final Cut Pro X window.
